I come from a very warped background, and it's a lifelong struggle to feel like I have the right and ability to be in control of my own life. I've found substantial hope for my future from a certain man, and I'm asking for a way to meet him in person to see if he wants the same things out of life that I do. Even if I'm being misled on this, we both still want out of our pits, healing our fragmented selves, having our own family that isn't based on performance, redeeming what's been lost in our lives, and not feeling guilty for being selfish. We want to do all this for a healthy, normal sense of Your Presence in our lives, and not something resembling a high to avoid looking at reality. Give us daily hope that You are returning us to Love.
