At a news conference this week, my friend of more than 40 years, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posed a very pointed question of the world. Noting that many Jewish women were abused, raped, and murdered, he asked, “Were you quiet because we were talking about Jewish women?” The world may be silent—or even worse, applaud—what Hamas terrorists at the direction of Iran are doing to destroy God’s Chosen People, but we must not be. It is more important than ever that we make it clear—not just to the nations of the world, but also to the Jewish people that we will never stop standing for and with the nation of Israel.

The wonderful celebration of Hanukkah is almost here, and soon, candles will be lit across Israel and around the world. We are hosting a series of special events throughout Hanukkah at your Friends of Zion Center in Jerusalem. On one of the nights, we will host survivors from the Be’eri kibbutz. We will have special games for the kids and refreshments for everyone. We will gather in the Media Center and light a Hanukkah candle. Everyone will receive a small gift and enjoy a special musical program. None of this can make up for all they have lost, but it will let them know that they are loved and that they are not alone.

Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has lectured Israel’s leaders on the need to end their campaign to wipe out the Hamas terrorists who slaughtered more than 1,400 innocent Jewish people and continue daily attacks. This is outrageous. God has blessed America because we have blessed Israel, and we must not abandon them now in this prophetic crisis moment. Despite all the talk of truces and ceasefires, the war on Israel continues. Three Jewish people were shot and killed at a Jerusalem bus stop this week in an attack by two Hamas terrorists. There is no place in Israel—indeed there is no place in the world—where a Jewish person is safe from attack. World leaders may call for a “two state solution,” but how is Israel supposed to negotiate with people who want to see the Jewish state destroyed?
