I am disabled and 69 years old. My mother is 91 and has Alz's. I have lived with her in her house for 5 years not. Very rarely do I get to get out of the house. No one else in the family offers to help to give my son and I some respite. I realize I could put my Mom in a nursing home but to put her with strangers in strange surroundings would do away with what little mind she has left. Also they would take her home and after working 2 jobs for 18 years, I'm looking forward to having a little money for once in my life. Where do I fit in? I am a 'new senior' living alone and no longer working. The pandemic this year has taken any ideas, hopes, dreams, visions from me. Feeling like a prisoner in my apartment that has no comforts that 'save me' from the frustrations, and exhaustion of waiting for 'what'? I don't mean to sound so disappointed, but loneliness is not at all fun. Taking deep breaths, I am a human being that has limits to my endurance. Where to go? What to do? You have blessed her greatly during her 23 years of life and have set her on a path to a bright future as a 2019 graduate of the University of Kentucky. She has stayed strong in her faith and believes you God are her healer. She believes your promises are "yea and amen". You brought her through brain surgery to remove the tumor.
