Good morning. Here are a few update.  One of the cultures came back from the brain surgery. It grew a fungus. They started treated him for this but the meds make he very sleepy. Fingers crossed this antibiotic can treat this and we can get it out of his brain. They did an MRI over night to double check the lesion that was in his brain.  Steve has delirium. He is asking questions like where is he, how long has he been there, what happened. He is very confused. Still unsure why he is having this now  I didn’t get a chance to speak or FaceTime with him. He was either sleeping or getting ready for MRI  A positive thing ....  he isn’t needing much vent support at all. He still needs concentrated oxygen to help him but he is breathing on own. Which also makes him tired.  Fingers crossed the meds work to Treat this fungus and nothing else grows on the cultures. We don’t need anymore set backs. They are doing PT and a respiratory nurse comes in every day. He needs this to get stronger.
