🌿 Spiritual Discipline and Sanctification Hebrews 12:6 teaches, “For the Lord disciplines the one He loves.” Wilderness hardship was not arbitrary cruelty; it was sanctifying pedagogy. Deuteronomy 8:2-3 clarifies: “to humble you and test you…that He might make you know that man does not live on bread alone.” God’s goal was relationship transformation, not mere relocation.
