This helped me in spiritual warfare. WHAT IS A CURSE? A curse is something that is said out loud about a person with a negative connotation…..minor or severe. Whether on purpose or not, words have POWER to either BLESS OR CURSE. (James 3:8-10) A curse can even be said in humor, or just in a kidding way…..but it still can have a STING, as well as CONSEQUENCES behind it….& can spiritually ‘stab’ a person in their back. Our tongues are very powerful weapons, that can get out of control very quickly. (James 3:5-6) For example, instead of blessing our children or spouses, we easily can say things that can bring curses upon them. That is why in Romans 12:14 it says that we to BLESS everyone, even our enemies!! Then there are curses that are said with the power of WITCHCRAFT OR JEZEBEL behind them. These can be very dangerous, both physically and emotionally, & need to dealt with through spiritual warfare. In dealing with a curse, it is important to identify its source, & what kind it is.
