I have been waiting for my deposit from the apartment we recently moved out of and got a letter in the mail saying I owe them a little over $800 even after deducting all these cleaning charges from my $1,300 deposit. It’s ridiculous and unbelievable to me. I was really counting on getting some of my deposit back to pay off a $600 loan but now I have to pay them $800 on top of my other loan and don’t even know where I’m going to get that kind of money and these financial issues just ruins my holiday season now I can’t afford gifts for my kid either. We downsized way down from a 2 bedroom townhouse to a miserable small studio to save money and I’m still having financial problems. On top of that my child’s father owes me over $20,000 in arrears and does whatever he can to avoid paying me any child support. I also didn’t get the raise that my manager was trying to get for me at work due to corporate decisions and that doesn’t help either. I don’t know what else to do.
