God is calling us to change the destiny of the world. Together we are going to pull down principalities, powers, and spiritual wickedness in high places. Together, we are going to reverse the curse on entire nations and turn them back to God. Together, we are going to defend Israel from destruction. Together, we are going to build a great army to fight and win the spirit war.
Winning this battle is going to take the greatest army the world has ever seen. There are only 4 nations in the world that have more than 1 million soldiers on active duty in their military. China tops the list with 2.2 million men and women under arms. The 10 largest armies in the world combined total are about 9.7 million soldiers.
God is calling us to put together a spirit army that dwarfs the armies of the world. We know from the Scriptures that we are facing numerous and powerful enemies. Paul wrote,
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12).
One of the most important truths I have ever learned, is that wars must be won in the spirit realm before they can be won in the physical world.
We know the story of Daniel, fasting and praying faithfully for 3 weeks while he sought a word from God for the future of his people. The answer was delayed by a conflict in the spirit realm between a demonic power the Bible calls “the prince of the kingdom of Persia” and the angel who was sent with the answer. It was not until Michael the archangel, the angel God sent, joined the battle to meet with Daniel and explain his visions.
With all my heart, I believe if Daniel had not been faithful to keep praying, the spirit war would have been lost. But this story tells us something else about spirit war. Before he left, the angel told Daniel that he was going back to fight with the “prince of Persia” and once that demonic power had been defeated; the Persian Empire would collapse and be replaced by the Greek Empire. The mighty armies of Alexander the Great were not able to conquer Persia until a war in the spirit realm had been resolved.
This same principle is true in our world today. The enemies of Israel are powerful, but it is the demonic forces that empower and drive them that must be defeated to deliver the Jewish people from destruction. This truth is what is driving the divine mandate God has given us for the Friends of Zion Heritage Center.
The Friends of Zion Heritage Center will be ground zero for victory in the spirit war. Today, God is calling us to build a prayer army that is 10 million strong. We want to unite them to battle principalities and powers and win amazing victories.
Never to our knowledge in the history of the world, have that many intercessors been united for any cause. Remember that Jesus said,
“Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:19-20).
If God’s presence and power work in response to the joining of 2 or 3 of His children, how much more will we see Him respond to the prayers of millions? There is going to be a great flood of divine power that will be unleashed. It will be the power to defeat the Enemy. It will be the power to bless Believers. And it will be the power to win the spirit war for Israel’s future.
