Each year on January 27th, the world takes time to commemorate the victims of the Holocaust, which claimed the lives of approximately six million Jews and an additional five million non-Jewish victims.

In his book, Night¸ Elie Wiesel (Nobel Laureate) recalls the sounds of weeping coming from every person in the death camp and someone beginning to recite the Kaddish, a prayer for the dead. He states, “I do not know if it has ever happened before, in the long history of the Jews, that people have ever recited the prayer for the dead for themselves."

International Holocaust Remembrance Day commemorates the anniversary in which more than 7,000 prisoners—most of whom were very ill or near death—were liberated from the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp in Poland.

This International Day of Remembrance is so important, especially as the threats to Israel still continue. The hatred toward the Jewish people is still alive and spreading, as seen in the threat of terrorism growing worldwide. This is why a day of remembrance like this is so critical—to tell the world “Never Again!”

Please join hands with us in this spiritual battle to defend Israel and her citizens.
