The most recent group of emails from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton revealed that top officials in the State Department seriously pushed for a plan to encourage Palestinians to take to the streets in order to force Israel to make concessions the U.S. wanted from them in the peace process. This is beyond outrageous—but, sadly, it's true.
Former U.S. Ambassador to Israel Thomas Pickering wrote to Clinton in 2011 suggesting that for the sake of deniability, the State Department work with groups outside of the government to promote Palestinian riots and protests, calling it a “game changer.” Pickering said, “What will change the situation is a major effort to use non-violent protests and demonstrations to put peace back in the center of people’s aspirations as well as their thoughts, and use that to influence the political leadership.”
This particular plan does not appear to have been put into action, but there is no doubt that the U.S. government in recent years has been very hostile to Israel. The Jewish people are surrounded by enemies on every side, and it is time for you and me to take a stand and declare loud and clear that we will not abandon God's Chosen People.
